It's amazing how time flies. The Summerhill project on Carolan Ave. was a gleam in the eye a year ago and now it is before Planning next week. The Daily Journal has the numbers here
There are a range of apartment sizes included in the project, including 149 one-bedroom units, 111 two-bedroom units and eight three-bedroom units.
The condominium portion of the project is proposed to have six two-bedroom units, eight three-bedroom units and eight units with at least three bedrooms and another room that could be used as an additional room or office space.
My quick math puts that at about 450 bedrooms, but the interesting part is of course the water usage which is not mentioned in the article's description of the EIR. There are plenty of parking concerns from the neighbors and plenty of traffic concerns through the B'way intersections, but if the whole town is supposed to conserve huge amounts of water, why add 450 more bedrooms. And don't get any school parent started on the classroom fill factor!
