It looks like the doubters, including me, were wrong–The Melt is back open for business! I'm not sure how they pulled it off, but the long closure is over and there is a "new menu". I'm surprised, but wish them luck. The Avenue is looking pretty good and pretty busy these days which doesn't surprise me.
I haven't tried I Prive yet, but I did dine at Rasa (replacing Roti after a year and a half) and it was good.
Burlingame Avenue was so busy this afternoon that even the Melt had customers.
It looks like this enterprise has melted down. The location is papered over with a final-sounding sign posted. I miss Towle’s original or seafood version with music.
Well, too much good stuff to eat nearby, this was just a matter of time.
Already leased to a new tenant to open in 30-90 days depending on city approvals.
Puleez I hope not another pizza pie place.
Wish Jeffrey’s of San Mateo would open a Burlingame branch.
Their burgers are great and they make wonderful salads.
