You could hear the fireworks going off all over town last night.  (Who stocks fireworks?…nobody I know).  And the honking of horns announced another Giants World Series championship.  They feel like a hometown team since there are plenty of people in B'game that work for the Giants and you can see players dining in B'game on a regular basis.

So aside from all the amazing performances–where to start–Zito back from the dead, Vogelsong going lights out, Scutaro hitting and fielding, defensive excellence all over the field, the most surprising thing for me is the changes from 2010.  I took this photo of a TV screen back during the NLCS play-offs when Nady was starting, but the point is the same with Blanco in left as well.

Giants 2010 to 2012

The Panda may be the Series MVP, but you have to give Sabean a lot of credit for building a whole new team in two years!
