Dedicated to Empowering and Informing the Burlingame Community

Happy BirthdayJust two short years ago the Burlingame Voice editors launched the 'blog' with the first posting about the elections.

After two years the Voice has had nearly 1000 postings and more than 5500 comments. As we continue to sizzle in the pre-election season, I am sure we will be seeing new highs .. and lows … in blogging in the coming months.

Happy Birthday to all the bloggers and lurkers alike!

Congratulations! We should have a party!

The blog has been quite a read over the years with plenty of food for thought. It will be an important part of this coming election for outing the baloney, the “is that clear” waffles and also showing up the honesty of our candidates.

Fascinating though is how many people read it -including the local media and city government -but don’t blog.

I’m guessing (from my less than scientific perusing) that this is the most active blog on the Peninsula. I’m also guessing that the capability it has brought to share ideas (and yes, complaints) has helped make Burlingame one of the most politically active communities on the Peninsula. A hearty thanks go out to all the regular bloggers for their contributions and insights. Blog on!

I am proud of how The Burlingame Voice has evolved from a self funded, hand delivered printed piece to an incredibly active chat space. Right on! Blog on!
