According to the San Mateo Daily Journal the decision has finally been made to replace Ira Ruskin's seat on the Redwood City council. Alicia Aguirre was chosen.
It is interesting because councilmember Hartnett said that over and above representing the Hispanic community "he wanted someone who reflected the values of people who opposed Measure Q".
Smart move, Redwood City! Would our councilmembers have done the same?
