I did not think this sole council race was going to be this decisive. The various powers that be were aligned pretty evenly, but as of 8:15 pm tonight on the first vote release, this one ain’t close. We will dig into some of the details in the coming weeks, but for now kudos to Howard and thanks to Jen for throwing her hat in the ring. The other two B’game districts slept through this election as Lorin Flynn noted below–Snoozeville. It will be interesting to see how his mandate plays out against…well, lesser mandates on the dais. Why do I say that? Turnout in D3 was 68% higher than D5 and Wettan out polled both Stevenson and Pappajohn in absolute numbers per the 8:15 drop here:
