First out of the gate?

Dan Andersen seems to be the first out of the gate for the November 2005 election. One of his election signs can be seen in the 2900 block of Trousedale.

Seems like Dan hung on to his lawn signs from his last election campaign and loaned them to the Concerned Residents of Burlingame (CRB), the local group led by Dennis Zell fighting PG&E's plan to bring a high voltage supply line down Trousedale. The signs were covered with 'Don't Zap Us' slogans, but in the recent winds and wet weather some have fallen off to reveal Dan's election plans!

How many more candidates will be revealing their plans soon? We can count 11 candidates who are floating trial balloons so far. Check back at the Voice for the latest!

    It is going to be a very interesting 2005 election. Only two have categorically said they will run, the rest are being mushy mouthed or non-committal. Who will you endorse?

    Well with three seats to be contested (O’Mahony, Galligan & Baylock’s) I will have to make room for three lawn signs.

    However I will wait for all 11 or more candidates to throw their hats in the ring before “signing up”.

    It’s a little early to be campaigning. The Concerned Residents of Burlingame (CRB) are using my signs as a base to put up ” Don’t’ ZAP Us” signs. As you know, I have been supporting them from the very beginning. They are going to be placing new cover sheets over the ones that have lost the ZAP sheets. Please come the June 7th City Council meeting and support their cause.

    HUH? Is that confirming, denying or dancing around the issue.

    I am sure the 11/12+ candidates will have creative and smart ideas for Burlingame plus with a civility which is sorely lacking with the present group. The more the merrier – it will be more interesting and more challenging for us to pick the best three.
