Dedicated to Empowering and Informing the Burlingame Community

The Citizens for a Better Burlingame have just published their response to the revised Safeway project Environmental Impact Report (EIR). Calling this revised EIR 'fatally flawed' the group points out eight glaring omissions.

You can read their response to the latest revision to the EIR on the CBB website.

Remember that the Planning Commissioners will be discussing the EIR on Monday December 8 in City hall at 7pm.

One response to “Is Safeway listening?”

  1. I wonder if this EIR firm has done work on other large grocery store chains? There seem to be so many oversights and omissions, particularly regarding the parking deficit.

I am particularly leary of the part that contends (during the 4th quarter) that people do not make more shopping trips to the grocery store, but just buy more. Everyone who I know, buys more AND makes more trips during the holidays. Maybe these fellows don’t shop like the rest of us, but they really neglected this issue.
