Dedicated to Empowering and Informing the Burlingame Community

Despite the wet conditions a couple of hundred parents and excited children were on hand at Burlingame station to greet Santa and his carolers this evening. This was a great opportunity to donate a new, unwrapped toy to the US Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program.

The world's largest toy train, decorated with more than 40,000 lights, pulled into Burlingame station on time at 5:40pm on its south bound Peninsula journey. The children and parents were entertained by onboard carolers and a Salvation Army brass band. Santa, Mrs. Claus and their extended family were there to greet kids and pose for pictures.

At 6:00pm with Santa in his caboose the train headed off south. No sign of reindeer anywhere!
