Dedicated to Empowering and Informing the Burlingame Community

What a gem it was to hear local residents tell us their Seabiscuit stories at The Burlingame Historical Society's meeting yesterday. The stories ranged from one gentlemen's experience serving legal papers on Seabiscuit's owner, Charles Howard, another who rode Seasbiscuit as a young girl and at that time wasn't very impressed with the horse and another who lived on the Howard estate and still owns orchids from the grounds.

These stories were topped off with beautiful paintings given to the owner by Mr. and Mrs. Howard. So many interesting memories …

  1. I was so proud to be a resident of this town and listen to all them wonderful memories from the past. Sometimes this city feels much smaller than it actually is! We all have so much in common.
