Perhaps M&M run together because neither one, independantly, has two legs to stand on?
Or as former Mayor Barton said – they have been so busy straddling the fence, are they bowlegged by now?
You figure that the Safeway project and the housing on the bayfront issue have been on the table for so long with all the facts out on the table that M&M should be able to take a stand one way or the other.
You have to wonder if they are really that dense, or they have made up their minds but don’t even have the courage of their own convictions to state their opinions, oops, opinion. (I forgot, they are a team)
and in case you don’t think there is some group think going on here, let’s look at these stats:
In the 46 Council meetings between December 2001 & July 2003 when there have been more than 270 votes the M&M’s have NEVER voted against each other.
And they have voted against Galligan 4 times, 6 times against O’Mahony and 15 times against Baylock.
Coffey said that “the team” had only disagreed with Rosalie three times – obviously another piece of rubbish information.
270 votes where the M&Ms have “thunked” alike – wow that is some record. They obviously aren’t married to each other!
