One of the things that makes the merchants on B'way crazy is "Birdman" who feeds the pidgeons–with the predictable aftermath on sidewalks, awnings and cars.  Here is quite the pidgeon party going on yesterday in the parking lot on Chula Vista.

Pigeons being fed

That is a lotta bird food….leading to a lotta %^*&*.

I am moving this comment from Esther to this post about Broadway since it fits much better here:
Is there any street improvement plan from the City for the Broadway street? That is similar to the Burlingame Ave.

The fellow who is responsible for this is often seen washing windows at various businesses in town. The police, over the years, have looked the other way, as this is a low level activity.
On the other hand, you might have a different perspective if you’ve been victimized by the birds.
Here’s a link to a video I shot in 2014 (and sent to the Burlingame Police who say they need to witness this crime themselves to be able to cite the fellow):

I wonder if this is the same man tossing donuts for the birds/dogs on the new sidewalks on Burlingame Ave. (across the street from Starbucks). Whatever next!

Hides bird feed under the paper racks on the corner… Nuisance.

If he tosses a donut to my dog he will get much more than a donut in return.

There is also an Asian woman in her 50’s who feeds the Pigeons. After haircut yesterday I saw her dump a pan full of feed on the ground i the parking lot next to Pick of the Litter.

By the way, the photo above is from the parking lot next to Pick of the Litter.

  8. There is also a retired City of Burlingame Public Works Dept. employee-he told us, that feeds mice and rats out at the Bayside parks.
He drives a big Red Truck.
He told us he was a retired employee that had permission to feed these rodents.
While walking our dogs, he confronted us.
He said we were “interfering with his work.”
We just wanted to get away from him.
    A Very Scary man.
