Dedicated to Empowering and Informing the Burlingame Community

The B-Voice rarely announces a commerical opprtunity, but this one is different.

Here's a way to "shop local"  and support a local non-profit at the same time.

The perfect gift this year will be the book, "Burlingame Centennial" available at Books Inc. on Burlingame Avenue. It's a fund raiser for The Burlingame Historical Society and is available directly from the Burlingame Historical Society as well. Lastly it's available on Amazon, but that wouldn't be shopping local and the historical society does not benefit as much from a sale thorough Amazon. Happy Holidays and happy reading.

…and if you want to give yourself a gift, consider joining the Burlingame Historical Society too.

Where can I get the 50 year book that Nantell said last night he had read? Or was he 50% in the bag?

I heard him say that too, but assumed he meant the 100 year history book–referenced above. However, there was a small book published at the 50 year mark and it is available in the archives at the Burlingame Historical Society as a reference tool. It is not available to be removed from the archives.

A copy of the booklet published by the City for the 50 year anniversary was donated recently to the City of Burlingame.
It is under safekeeping in the office of the City Manager.
