   That hissing sound you hear is the hot air seeping out of the over inflated Nagel balloon. She needed this job. Now she has to replace 75,000 dollars in her 401K.

   Now that the balloon has deflated, I hope that Nagel gets her 80K team to remove EVERY illegally and legally posted sign bearing her name, or God forbid, her picture. I see them ALL over the county. PLEASE.

   You have to be watchful of journalists (and bloggers) jumping from the known to the unknown. Michelle Durand of the Daily Journal makes exactly that mistake today when she writes:
   Dave Pine, an outspoken critic of countywide elections, should be glad the race he won for county supervisor last week was not chosen by District One.
   “If the election had been limited to solely that area, Pine would have lost to Millbrae Councilwoman Gina Papan by a mere 310 votes.
   However, San Mateo is the sole California county which the entire electorate choose its supervisors and Pine won the May 3 special election with 27.8 percent, or 23,856 votes. Trailing, Richard Holober had 22,300 votes, or an even 26 percent, while Gina Papan had 21,796 or 25.41 percent. Terry Nagel was in fourth place with 8,683 votes, or 10.12 percent, Michael Stogner had 6,269 or 7.31 percent and Demetrios Nikas had 2,870 votes or 3.35 percent.”
   That’s a logical error because if the rules called for district-only voting, all the candidates would have run their campaigns differently. Remember, lies, damn lies and statistics.

   If you have any class or concern for the environment, Ms. Nagel, could you PLEASE get on removing your signs that are still all over the county. Pretty much of any eyesore and since the cardboard and plastic attachments are blowing all over the coastline, you are littering as well. Not so good for a mayor.
