   I’m sure the kids are getting some message from the marijuana legalization proposition. I’m not sure what the message is to the teenage mind but I’m guessing its not helping.

   1. Kids go feral in Burlingame by fifth grade.
   2. Parents begin to give up, exhausted.
   3. Parents also enable drinking due to their own use of drugs and alcohol.
   4. Some parents think it sophisticated to provide wine to their children at dinner. If the children are underage, this is not only stupid, it is illegal- Yes, even for your own kids.
   5. Kids need limits clearly defined and repercussions provided when the test the limits.
   6. Parents need to remember the “monkey-see, monkey-do” rule.

   Parents cannot lose the forest for the trees here. X, meth, acid and who knows what else are very serious. I agree the simple existence of the pot proposition on the ballot is troubling so we need to really hit the harder stuff first.

   Weed, drinking, children driving $50,000.00 cars to school are not the problem.
   It is the PARENTS!
   PARENTS are supposed to be the role model.
   However, to be able to live/own in Burlingame, your morgatge payment is at least $6-10,000.00 per month, less taxes.
   If anyone has the time, please notice how many Mexican nannies push around White babies.
   Come to the City of Burlingame Rec. Center.
   Classes that happen to bond children to parents are happening with the nannie.
   Mom and Dad want to live in Burlingame.
   Show their group of friends they maintain “the lifestyle.”
   The children will suffer, and society.
   If anyone has not seen the parking lot at BHS, as well as the flurry of parents dropping off their children because they can not walk/ride a bike/take a bus to school, it is disgusting.
   In a tme where global warming is a clear and present danger, the example that you could take away from BHS EVERT MORNING is that “Global Warming is for other people to worry about.”
   Not my children-Cassidy, Hunter, Oregon, Epic..
   What is up with those names?

   Now back to the topic of this post, here is the Governor’s contribution to the problem:
   SAN FRANCISCO — A new law makes possessing up to an ounce of marijuana in California no more serious than getting a speeding ticket — a development both sides battling over a marijuana legalization ballot measure hope to exploit with the vote just a month away.
   The law signed late Thursday by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger reduces possession of an ounce or less of pot from a misdemeanor to an infraction with a maximum punishment of a $100 fine.
   Even as a misdemeanor, possession of up to an ounce was still punishable only by a $100 fine and no jail time. But offenders also faced arrest, a possible court appearance and a criminal record.
   Schwarzenegger reiterated his opposition to the ballot measure known as Proposition 19 when he signed Senate Bill 1449 but said the new law would save the state courts money.

   Dear Boogeyman and Holyroller,
   Perhaps you both could explain how two siblings can grow up with exactly the same home life and one can be an abuser and the other well adjusted. Since you both want to blame the parents you must have a great theory to explain this common occurence.
