   This is also a great opportuntiy to sign up as a volunteer for the archives, as a docent for the museum, or to offer professional expertise for the future.

   It is also an annual meeting for the society.

   That was an excellent presentation by Sally Foster–a concise 25 minute survey of Julia Morgan’s work with slides and plenty of local flavor!

   It was a fantastic presentation! And wonderful to see so many folks – 70+ not including the standing room in the back. So many folks coming out on this stormy day…great community…great presentation.

   I wish I could personally answer the person who today sent me a package of information (including financial information, bloated cv’s and byelaw questions) about their upset (word used advisedly and is a major understated understatement of the decade) over the Burlingame Historical Society’s lack of professionalism but the package was sent to me anonymously.

   I am no longer associated or a volunteer with the Historical Society for many of the serious examples of BHS’ unprofessionalism given in the package.

   I wish him/her luck in trying to make improvements and changes to a broken and dysfunctional organization – he/she will need oodles of perseverance, patience, support, nitty gritty bucket fulls of understanding of how incompetence and unprofessionalism has worked for years through bad leadership, bad management and bad decisions within the Burlingame Historical Society, sky fulls of forbearance, pocket fulls of endurance and shovel fulls of luck to keep his/her sanity!

   He/she will need all of the above in truck loads – and more to fix a broken and dysfunctional group which, in my opinion, has been broken for years and is beyond repair.
