   Funny how school crossing guard stuff comes up the week after school lets out. My street emptied out with families with kids. Very sneaky.

   It is also funny that it just happened to be on the agenda when Councilwoman Nagel is out of town too. Hmm it must be a coincidence!

   Please attend the council meetings or watch all the way to the end because Galligan has a penchant for mouthing his nasty zingers in old or new business when most people have left the meeting or fallen asleep at their televisions. Perhaps this is just another coincidence!

   The council agreed to sign a new contract for school crossing guards but stressed this is the very last time. The City will need to see the School District’s money first. Lets hope the private donations – including the $32 solution – will help the School District come up with this huge chunk of money.

   Madam Mayor once again mumbled on about St. Catherine and their crossing guards. Don’t these people get it yet? Yes St. Catherine does have crossing guards on Park/Bayswater (both my children were St. Catherine crossing guards) but NOT on nearby El Camino. No parent would have allowed their 8th/7th/6th graders to “guard” El Camino. Puhlease!
