Dedicated to Empowering and Informing the Burlingame Community

Tonight's council meeting proved a very very important fact once again – Terry Nagel has more integrity and intelligence than the whole bunch of them. Wow has she raised the bar in what we expect our elected officials to be! Thank God for a shining light!

Lets hope our elected officials spend our money wisely!

Community Gatepath who have requested the whopping sum of $4,500 from our city’s coffers has our ex-councilmember Janney and present councilmember Galligan on the board (http://www.communitygatepath.com/about/company)

We do get credit – “thanks to the City of Burlingame for their funding partnership” is included on their website.

Galligan is also a board member of Legal Aid Society of San Mateo (http://www.legalaidsmc.org) who are asking for $2,025.

Havent found out yet whether Coffey is on Bay Area boards but maybe the boards are in Florida!

Unfortunately I am unable to make the link to Community Gate Path. Who and what is this organization and what do they do for the residents of Burlingame?

  3. Rich, the link now works for you to read about Community Gatepath.

Article in today’s Journal about non-profit funding.

There is one council member who just does not get it and every time he speaks he puts his foot in his mouth – todays quote is “hopefully someday (Nagel) will understand that the sense from the council majority is that we’re not going into reserves to pay for it”

We are way smarter than you think Mr. Galligan!

The good news for Burlingame is that the money spent by Gatepath on goodies recently handed out to our children – a bag containing a book, t-shirt, markers and a ceramic pig – were not paid out of last year’s $4,500 Burlingame donation. The “goodies” were paid by a corporate sponsor.
