Another interesting Council meeting … Coffey publicly apologised to Former Chief Gary Missel for planting false stories about him. The public apology was "on behalf of the whole Council". Yuck! Mr. Coffey was stated as the source of the story but when questioned about this he referred questions to the city attorney. Perhaps Mr. Coffey will clarify this issue on his website? The incumbents have now attacked Chief Deputy Coroner, Mr. Marriscolo and Former Chief Gary Missel amongst others – enough! Get to the issues, babes!

  1. If Mayor Coffey is apologizing on “behalf of the whole council,” is he inferring that councilwomen Rosalie O’Mahony and Cathy Baylock were somehow to blame for this sad situation? I’ve only lived in this town a few years. but the incumbents in the upcoming election (and some of their illustrious supporters) seem to be more about negativity than about being positive. Now I know why the council meetings ARE the biggest free entertainment in town!

  2. City Council meetings should not have more drama then NYPD Blue. It is amazing how far from real issues some council members deviate from, especially around election time.

  3. Somebody is either going to lose their job or get the city sued over this (if they are an elected politician). If Coffee gets reelected, this could be the basis for a recall.
