   There must be some website and a printing shop to forge a vehicle registration. The reg itself could probably be a pdf, but the annual sticker is harder. Anybody know where?

   You can bet this guy isn’t only breaking into H’borough homes:

   Suspect Arrested in Residential Burglary on Darrell Road

   On January 31, 2026, at approximately 9:11 p.m., the Hillsborough Police Department (HPD) received a report of multiple alarm activations at a residence in the 800 block of Darrell Road. The reporting party also advised that they were monitoring onsite security cameras and observed an unknown person inside the home.

   Officers responded and established a perimeter around the residence with assistance from neighboring agencies. The suspect was apprehended without incident and arrested onsuspicion of residential burglary and possession of burglary tools. No injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.

   HPD encourages residents to think in terms of layered security, measures that would help to deter crime and allow for timely alerts. Alarm systems and surveillance cameras are effective when used consistently. If you have an alarm system, please install motion sensors on both levels of the home and one in the primary bedroom. Many systems also offer home and away modes, which let you keep protection active while adjusting motion sensing when you are home.

   HPD also maintains a Vacation Watch list, where officers will conduct periodic passing checks of your residence while you are away. HPD also offers free home security evaluations by appointment with our Crime Prevention Specialists.

   Here is fun note from BPD as posted on its Facebook page:

   As much as we love it for people to enjoy the Bay Trail, probably not a great idea to conceal your identity, flee on foot from our officers during a car stop, and decide to use the Bay Trail to escape. Adult male, arrested, warrant and resisting arrest.
   Sorry you didn’t get your 10,000 steps in.

   Our officers frequently check the Bayfront for suspicious vehicles and people.

   Here’s a bit of status reporting from BPD:

   Burlingame, CA – On Tuesday, July 14th, 2026, 12 traffic deputies/officers from various law enforcement
   agencies throughout San Mateo County participated in the San Mateo County Saturation Traffic
   Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P.). This was the seventh deployment of 2026 in a collaborative effort to
   increase traffic safety and awareness in known trouble spots throughout San Mateo County. This operation
   focused on traffic education and enforcement in Menlo Park and East Palo Alto.

   Deputies/Officers made approximately 93 traffic stops and issued 93 citations. Of the 93 citations issued:

   • 13 were issued for unsafe speed
   • 51 were issued for speaking on the phone or texting while driving,
   • 8 were issued for failing to stop at a stop sign,
   • 4 was issued for unlicensed driver
   • 16 were issued for other miscellaneous violations

   Reading the daily arrest records, I’m surprised no DUI arrests since they seem to be a daily occurrence.
