   I hope that Mr. Bob Disco is on top of this “oversight.”
   He does a good job of watching new construction projects.
   However, he may have missed this one.

   I thought I saw something like an irrigation piping running through the new planter boxes, that is connecting all the planters…
   it would be pretty disappointing if there will be no trees to replace the ones they yanked out. Trees soften the look of otherwise stark parking lots, and badly needed shade on hot days.
   they seem to be creating an outdoor eating/drinking area around BayWatch though.

   Not having trees in those planters would appear to be a glaring oversight, in Bruce Dickinson’s mind. Don’t think that is the case in the “City of Trees”. Trees will probably show up there as the project progresses.

   These ‘Vacant Spaces” could also be used for Public Art Display.
   Music, Weaving, Time Share sales too.

   nix the “art display” if it consists of sidewalk hacks selling their art on the grass next to Murchison, already a fairly common occurrence there…
   Actually, now that I think about it, isn’t there an art museum just down the street? someone should tell them. Opportunity to plant one of their pro resident artists sculptures there, or something.

   I believe the original point was trees that shade the cars. Art would be good too but adding shade trees would be really good.

   So, not to bask in Bruce Dickinson’s tendency to often be right, I’m gonna go ahead and do so anyway and take a trip right down memory lane! *wink*
   Joe, it looks like there are brand new trees in the planters at Lunardis Plaza as well as a beautiful garden in front of the stores to the right. As Barack Obama eloquently put it, it does seem to be somewhat of “lipstick on a pig” as that Plaza overall is still an eyesore and a few trees and a garden ain’t gonna rectify a whole lot.
   I think I gotta get your better half to make you more of an optimist, like in a glass-half full sort of way, if ya know what I mean. I’m almost pushing eight decades here, and I gotta tell ya, I would be remiss if I didn’t say that being optimistic is the secret to longevity!
   I know you’ve got it in ya!

   Mais non, monsieur. Decorative trees were not the request. I was hoping for shade trees for my vintage sports car….and your Ferraris. Sorry the ones at the ends of the aisles do not qualify. My glass if often half-full tho…especially with fine Barolo or a cheeky NZ Sauv Blanc.
