Two new "No Right Turn on Red" signs have appeared recently in town–one permanent and one that appears to be temporary and a little tricky.  The permanent one makes a ton of sense.  It is a Floribunda and El Camino and (hopefully) keeps people from turning onto northbound El Camino.  This and the No Left Turn in the southbound EC direction should keep Caltrans from cutting down a bunch of Eucs.  Here it is

The second sign is on the new 101 Southbound off-ramp at B'way.  It just popped up so be careful out there.  I'm still withholding judgement on the new overpass project until it's done, but a reliable reporter indicated it took 30 min to get from Bayside to Broadway Tuesday night.  Ouch.  Let's hope the completed project makes real improvements because right now it doesn't seem any better.  Here's the temporary sign.

I disagree with your comment that the work is not any better it is FAR WORSE. Looks pretty with beautiful lamps that we can look at as we sit in traffic though.
Witnessed so many near accidents with the two left turns onto the 101S and Rollins Road.
    What were they thinking..

Another recent bit of traffic constipation was installed recently for motorists on Chapin, turning northbound on El Camino (by Mollie Stone’s and B of A).
There is now a “No Right on Red” Sign there.
This is an intersection where motorists have a better view of on-coming traffic than they do at both Burlingame Avenue and Howard Avenue.
Also less safe is the right turn out of the parking lot by Walgreen’s and Safeway.
Yet despite ample sight lines, this has suddenly been designated as a “No Right on Red” intersection.
Those other locations do allow drivers to make a “Right on Red.”
In speaking with the City’s new traffic engineer, I was told “two people requested this.”
Go drive to these sites and see for yourself…
