Dedicated to Empowering and Informing the Burlingame Community

We've known for sometime that B'game is a sort of "border" community between northern gangs (San Bruno, Daly City, etc) and southern gangs (San Mateo, EPA, etc).  In addition, some of the gang orientation is racially divided (Latino, Pacific Islander, etc).  Here is an excerpt from a notice from the San Mateo police:

On February 5th, 2015 at about 6:30PM, SMPD responded to a report of possible gunfire in the area of North Idaho Street and Bayswater Avenue.  Officers arrived on scene and located evidence that a handgun had been fired multiple times from the intersection towards the 900 block of North Idaho Street.  SMPD Officers were able to quickly locate and account for the rounds that were fired and confirm that nobody was hit by the gunfire, but determined bullets had struck 3 separate unoccupied vehicles.

We still believe this case to be gang related and not a random act of violence based on the specific location of this incident. SMPD Officers will also continue to conduct high profile patrol of known gang members and their associates and take lawful enforcement action whenever and wherever possible.

SMPD urges anyone in our community with information that may assist in this investigation to please contact SMPD at #(650) 522-7700 or call the Crime Reduction Unit at (650) 522-7784.   Witnesses or persons with information may also contact the SMPD Secret Witness Line, #(650) 522-7676 or report a tip online at http://tinyurl.com/SMPDTips

I've had a quick conversation with the SMPD since the intersection we are talking about is where Nini's Cafe is located and is practically in B'game.  As the notice indicates, SMPD is sure it was neither random nor related to the drive-by shooting on the Peninsula Ave. overpass this week.  They have good leads and are always looking for more.  Please be awake out there.

  1. I can report gunshots from near that intersection almost everyday…oh wait, that’s the gun range at Coyote Point.

But then on February 6th, at 4:30pm, right near there on the Peninsula Ave. overpass, a 19 year old man was shot and injured. I believe the two incidents were related. I drove down that way the morning of February 5th as I live right there and a few of the local business’s, in particular, the pool supply store, got heavily tagged with gang slang or graffiti. So, it wasn’t just one incident, but several.

  3. Meth Heads R Us.

Whether it’s Cocaine and Ecstasy and Dom and Scotch and Hookers in a Hillsborough Mansion or whether its Crack and Meth by Nini’s in San Mateo…violent gangs are formed for the money, the money, the money.
I brought the Assistant US Attorney who led the “largest meth bust in the history of the United States” to speak at The Burlingame Rotary Club.

He said that 90%+ of the Meth and related crimes are driven by the Mexican Mafia.
Something to consider regarding allowing and really encouraging illegal immigration.
You get the good people, you get the bad people, you get the drug runners and gun runners – and that’s just in Leland Yee’s office!
I mean that’s just the Fast and Furious cover up of illegally selling guns to the Mexican mafia for cash by the ATF (to see where the guns went).
Seriously folks, you get what you vote for.

But, yes, yes, The Environment is Falling! That’s the urgency in our community.

  4. Bruce Dickinson

Meth Heads, based on your description, were you on the invitee list at the last party at the Dickinson house?!? I kid, I kid, of course.
Listen, I partied with the best of them, but it got to a point in the late 70s where I hit a really rough 18 months, with no gold records and really thought long and hard about the drinking, partying and drugs and I saw first hand what it did with band members’ heads. 30 years ago I would have never had said this, but Marijuana, I believe does a lot of brain damage long term and yes, it leads to much worse things, as a “gateway” drug as it were because it acts as both a depressant and stimulant and people seek one feeling or the other over time. So Nancy Reagan (who mind you, at a function in the 80s threw a glass of wine in my face after one of my snarky comments about the ‘war on drugs’ ) was right all along. Take it from me, kids, Bruce Dickinson says “just stay away” You don’t get to be this smart and sharp as a tack after 7 decades by partying all the time!

I chuckle when I hear residents surprised we have crime and gang infestation especially when most everyone around here votes for people who support open borders and against tracking who and why people flood our borders.
Sounds mean, but you are paying the price for all your decisions and it will get only worse from here.
This is a not a racist issue so don’t make it one. It is good management. You do not want anyone in your country unless you verify who they are and why they are here.
What would make you think anyone who violates a country’s most sovereign immigration laws gives a hoot about your criminal laws.
Wake-up Bay Area; your losing your beloved cities.

  6. The Felons Known as Senators, Mayors and Police

Looking back, I like my “Meth Heads R Us” post – so true.
Even though I imagine Trump smelling like stale barf and cigarettes, I hope that he wins and then arrests the many mayors and senators and chiefs of police in the state of California that regularly aid and abet the criminals and felons that illegally enter our country and our communities.
Hey folks, it is already a misdemeanor to enter our country without due process and permission, and it’s already a felony to reenter after being deported.
Illegally Returning to the U.S. After Removal Is a Felony
“Under federal law (8 U.S.C. § 1325), anyone who enters the Unites States illegally is committing a misdemeanor and can be sentenced to a fine or to six months in prison. The law accompanying § 1325 is 8 U.S.C. § 1326, which makes the offense of reentering, or attempting to reenter the United States after being removed or deported, a felony offense. You will likely be permanently barred from the United States if you illegally reenter after a prior removal.”
    http://www.alllaw.com/articles/nolo/us-immigration/reentry-after-removal-deportation
We can’t strive for a good and honest community when we vote for and let our politicians and police pick and choose which laws that they will enforce.
This aiding and abetting actually makes these governmemt officials criminals and felons themselves.
It’s not about race or ethnicity, it’s about choosing to operate by the rule of law.
Or, let’s ALL be allowed to break laws at will like our mayors, senators and police do.
Meanwhile, the O’Reilly supported “Kate’s Law” was just blocked by Democrats.

And, it’s not just about supporting a fair and honest “rule of law” society, it’s about supporting a society that delivers long-term fiscal health and stability.
