Dedicated to Empowering and Informing the Burlingame Community

Sometimes Burlingame reminds me of a third world country (and I have lived in a few).
Today, one of the busiest evenings in the year for restaurants (ie Valentines Day), there were power outages along the Burlingame Avenue Business District which included many of the restaurants, Sapore, Il Fornaio and Books, Inc. etc.
Whether those power outages were because of wind, a tree, squirrels, mylar balloons or whatever reasons, many of our restaurants were unable to serve their customers.
One Burlingame Avenue Italian restaurant had to turn away 300 reservations (presumably people) because they had no power.
Hope Terry can find out the reasons for the outages because its tough for our local restaurants if they cannot cook for their guests!
