I wanted to let you all know about Motown Mondays at Broadway Grill – 1400 Broadway. It started April 16th and it really was fantastic. We went again tonight and it was even better. As a matter of fact I may not have to cook again on Mondays for quite some time. Our whole family had a ball. The band is set up upstairs and the three amazing singers of
Pure Ecstasy glide around the restaurant singing the very best of Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, Smokey Robinson, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder even Michael Jackson. The way the restaurant is set up you can really appreciate the richness of the music. Now I am not talking some strolling singers who walk around and do some background music while you quietly chat with your dinner companion. These guys rock the house. The whole place is smokin'. They hand the mike around and even the patrons sing and let me tell you there are some talented singers in our town. I have to hand it to the owners of Broadway Grill. They hit the jackpot with this one!! Pure genius. Congratulations. Note to other establishments in town: Dust out the cobwebs and pay attention. Do something fun and innovative. Shake it up. Surprise us.
