BURLINGAME PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT TO PRESENT INTO THE WOODS, JR. AT BURLINGAME INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL AUDITORIUM.

The summer arts enrichment musical theatre camp will present Into the Woods, Jr. at Burlingame Intermediate School auditorium, July 28th, at 7:00 PM and July 29th at 2:00 PM. Cost is FREE to the public and no tickets are required. Just come, enjoy and applaud loudly! 22 elementary and junior high school students from Burlingame, San Mateo, Hillsborough and Daly City will perform this musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. The students have been rehearsing six hours a day, five days a week for three weeks. This production includes such hilarious songs as "HELLO, LITTLE GIRL", but also the poignant, thought-provoking melody entitled "CHILDREN WILL LISTEN". Into the Woods, Jr. is a cockeyed fairy tale where all of your favorite characters Cinderella, Jack and his Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, and of course, The Witch, meet and interact in the woods while on their own individual journeys. The performers will also be entertaining with songs from the show at Burlingame Parks & Recreation Department's "Concert In The Park" on July 30 th at 12:30 PM.

Cathy Foxhoven is directing, Peter Bassford is the musical director and Arantxa Vaillant is assistant director/stage manager. For more information, please call Cathy Foxhoven at 650-697-6936
