Police warn of holiday telephone scams -Burlingame police are warning residents of a phone scam involving someone representing themselves as from the Burlingame Police Department's Holiday Protection Fund.?The caller asked the person if they would pledge money to the erroneous fund and was denied. The Police Department does not solicit money over the phone. If you receive a suspicious call, feel free to contact the Police Department at 777-4100.
