In today's USA Today News Paper there was an article about the most recent craze, the pocket rocket mini motorcycle. In the article it mentions that one was seen for sale in, of all places, a Safeway. I wonder what section Safeway would have motorcycles for sale?

This article got me to thinking about Safeway and if they are, really, going to be a good neighbor. In the not to distant past, if my memory servers me correctly, there were two different sting operations regarding the sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors. The sting operations were in two different areas of the state and of the stores that were checked, could you guess what major chain got caught selling alcohol and tobacco to minors? Give up; I will give you a hint, the name of the store starts with an S.? Still need some help, does the name Safeway ring any bells.

I believe Safeway will not be a good neighbor. Selling booze, tobacco, and motorcycles to minors is way over the top. If they are going to be allowed to build a new store, then they should be restricted to groceries ONLY.

  1. Rich that is the answer…groceries ONLY.

  2. Well Rich, they have to compete with Walmart and Costco, so be reasonable!
