After reading Bud Harrison's comments in an article in one of our local newspapers, following Terry Nagel's ousting of Mary Janney from City Council, I am confused.
Harrison stated that this was the dirtiest campaign? and the only thing that they (the challengers) could do was attack and create negativism.? But, a recent article entitled Burlingame Candidates Need Training in Campaign Tactics,? questioned Coffey and Janney's dirty politics? and their flyer which promoted information that was false.? The final paragraph of the article states that politics is a dirty sport? and Burlingame shouldn't be sullied by those willing to run a smear campaign.?
I know that Halloween is over, but it seems that some of those presently in City Hall and their pals have been painting their faces green and stirring up the pot for many months. Harrison states that the election of Nagel will come down on the shoulders of the present vice mayor.? I remain confused, Mr. Harrison. Who is doing the attacking and creating negativism?
